
Turning Point USA hosted an alternative halftime show during Sunday’s Super Bowl in response to the backlash over halftime programming.
Viewers of Super Bowl LX were given the option to choose between two halftime show options: the official Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny, and the TPUSA alternative show featuring Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett.
News of the alternative show was announced in October, following the NFL’s announcement that Bad Bunny would headline its program. The conservative organization revealed its own lineup earlier this month, an announcement that drew both backlash and praise.

Nearly 5 million simultaneous viewers tuned in to watch Turning Point USA’s alternative halftime show on YouTube alone. Hundreds of thousands more tuned in on other streaming platforms.
The show kicked off with a rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” on electric guitar before the performers took the stage.
Brantley Gilbert was the first to take the stage. He wore a t-shirt that read “God. Family. Country.” as he sang “Real American.” He followed up with his own rendition of Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem,” a song Gilbert wrote with Colt Ford.
